Venessa Watkins is a born and bred Montgomery, Alabama native and proud of her heritage. She describes her life in the great State of Alabama as rewarding on many levels. Following her graduation from Jefferson Davis High School, she attended Alabama State University on an academic scholarship and graduated with honors holding a Bachelor of Science Degree major in Social Work and a minor in Psychology. As a child growing up in rural Montgomery County, she was surrounded by relatives and close family friends and neighbors who lived off the land and worked as laborers in the farming industry and domestic workers. What she observed of the people in this close knit community is the foundation of her values of self-sufficiency, good work ethic, humility and tolerance and respect for all people. We’ve all heard the quotes about hard honest work building good character.
If you asked those who know Venessa well to describe her work ethic, they would most likely tell you that she is tactful, tenacious and tireless. From her very first job in retail sales at Sears in 1978, and up to her past 31-year career in public service, Venessa has held positions dealing with direct customer service delivery. She will use this diverse background in customer relations to meet your needs in the real estate industry. After all, the business of real estate sales and property management is about protecting and servicing the best interests of the clients.
